Giclée printing offers photographers the highest quality and archival properties of any digital printing. Papers are available with the same finishes as traditional wet process papers yet offer over five times the life-span. Digital giclée prints can last over 100 years under the optimum conditions whereas traditional photographic prints will degrade considerably after 20 years.
Digital photo prints have a turnaround time of 24 hrs as standard. We leave prints for 24 hrs to fully cure, ensuring that prints have reached maximum stability.
Oxford Giclée & Photographic Centre accepts no responsibility for copyright. The customer must own the copyright before we will print the images. File Quality For Submitted Digital Files:
Below are a few tips outlining how to create quality files, more in depth details can be found on our Proof page.
-TIFF files saved without compression are the best format for printing. Other file formats compress the image and thus reduce its quality. Other file formats are accepted for photographs but not recommended for fine art.
-300dpi is the optimum resolution for producing prints. Anything less will severely reduce the sharpness and tonality of the print.
-Files should be saved at the largest size possible. Never shrink the size of your file. We have software that can upscale images to larger sizes if needed.
-Save files with the ADOBE RGB colour profile embedded. Srgb is accepted for photographic printing but not recommended for fine art reproduction or exhibiton quality photographic prints.
-Files can be sent to us on DVD, CD, Memory cards or uploaded via FTP. More information about submitting files for giclée printing can be found on the Proofing page. Upload Your Files To Print:
